Mike Lang is a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a registered Acupuncturist and Qi Gong instructor. His treatments in acupressure, auricular diagnosis and Qi Gong are firmly grounded in five thousand years of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a practice that supports health rather than fights disease. Mike has a remarkable talent for assessing people's health problems just by analyzing the acupuncture points on the ears. He can also instantly relieve almost any kind of pain by putting pressure on the various acupuncture points in the ear, which allows him to do acupuncture treatments without using needles. Mike believes that focusing on health is more important than waiting until disease strikes. He firmly believes in a one hundred percent health standard, and works to achieve this with all his patients. Through ear acupressure treatments and Chinese herbs he helps his clients achieve overall wellness by working to improve the health of the whole body. His treatments have been successful in healing a wide variety of conditions including arthritis, asthma, and migraines, to even making impressive progress with patients who had been in comas. Mike first became interested in Acupuncture during his teens in Inner Mongolia watching his mother, a Western trained nurse who was also a respected Acupuncturist. She turned to the methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat her TB patients during the Cultural Revolution in China, when money and supplies from the West were non-existent. Mike learned a great deal from her and continued to study on his own afterwards and has been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since. He moved to Canada in 1990 and has practiced here full time since 1996.
